He has appeared in feature films and television programs since the early 1980s, and is well known for his roles in the films Scary Movie, White Chicks, Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Morning and Black Friday. As a stand-up comedian, Wayans has headlined at major venues across the United States.

Michael Wayans was born on October 5th, 1961 in Washington D.C. to parents Esther (née Smith) and Nathaniel Wayne Wayans. He has a brother, Keenen Wayans. Michael attended the University of Maryland where he majored in business administration and minored in theater. After college, he moved to New York City and started working as a performer at the legendary Second City improvisational troupe.

In 1988, Michael landed his first major role on TV when he played Mr. Jeffords on ABC’s popular sitcom In Living Color. The show ran for six seasons and helped make Michael a household name. He went on to appear in such films as House Party, White Men Can’t Jump, Black Man Rising, White Chicks, The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard, Soul Men, and Ride Along.

Michael is also an accomplished writer and director with credits that include the films Blue Streak, Scary Movie 3, Let’s Be Cops, Drunk History: Tales From The Barista Counter, Black Jesus: The Son Of God and CollegeHumor Originals: Season 2. He currently stars in the Showtime series White Famous.

In 1993, he appeared in the film “Pulp Fiction”. That same year, he co-created and starred in the sitcom “In Living Color”, which ran for six seasons. In 2002, he appeared in the documentary film “Bamboozled”. He has since starred in films such as “White Chicks” (2004), “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” (2005), “The Family Stone” (2006), and “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” (2012). He has also appeared on television shows such as “The Office”, “Scrubs”, and “Black-ish”.
